Artist Bio

​

Shania Whitfield, or otherwise known as her pen name Cherry Moa, looks to cultivate a space in the comedy world where she can explore different themes of love, grief, and the things that scare us with clever morsels of jokes to make us laugh. 

Her first run-in with writing stories came at an early age. Her formal education started when she received her first degree in Digital Media from Valencia College. This allowed her to have a better way to visualize the ideas and dreams she once had stored in her head. Her hunger was not satiated enough, and she went on to pursue her second degree from Full Sail University in Creative Writing, where she most recently graduated in 2024. 

Though she has not landed her dream job of being a Show Rßunner. She keeps herself busy by creating and contributing to TV/Film Discourse through her podcast “Trivial Lore”.  Also contributing to the local comedy scene by creating stand-up sets as a form of practice and maybe also a form of humiliation ritual, as she shares funny bits about her life as a black woman with a very noticeable afro.
